Sea Day

The walls on this ship are pretty thin and we can knock on the wall to alert our neighbors that we are ready to head to breakfast.  We had breakfast in the dining room then checked out the ship to see where things were.  It was a very swoopy and cloudy day all day.  We had made reservations at Giavonni’s alternate dining for this night at 7:30 PM so Debbie and I spent some time in the casino before heading back to the cabin.  I won on the slots then put half of it back on the tables but we had fun.

Both Debbie and Judy are Diamond members with Royal Caribbean which means they get three free cocktails before dinner which is 5:30 to 8 PM.  Since you are not allowed to order two at a time (it is only for the Diamond member), we have to go to two different places to use the free cocktails.  Like the Oasis these are built into your Seapass card.  Dinner was wonderful.  All of us got something different and they serve it family style except for your entrée.  Everything we ordered was delicious.   I took one of our bottles of wine to dinner and between that and the cocktails we got before dinner we were all ready for bed!  I slept initially but woke up with heartburn (imagine that) and was awake for most of the night.  I saw the sun making a beautiful hue across the sky as we pulled into Halifax.

  1. I've never heard of swoopy. Sounds like the specialty restaurants are the better choice, hope we can find some good food in the main dining room next week. I've been trying to get RCCL to give me credit for a cruise on the Majesty of the Seas in 1992 - that would make me Diamond for this cruise, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen in time. Have you had a martini yet?
